Harley Davidson Tattoos - Popular Tattoo Designs

The Harley Davidson motorcycle and brand is an icon. Harley tattoos are a way of paying tribute to the bike, and connecting with the Harley community. Started by William Harley and Arthur Davidson in 1903 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Harley has become the most popular bike ever built and has legions of proud owners all over the world. The HD has become a way of life, a statement of who you are, a head turner and an escape for so many people.
History of the Harley Brand
The logo brand has also become a proud part of the tradition, and licensing of the logo alone accounts for approximately 5% of the Harley Davidson Motor Companys net profit (based on figures from the 2004 financial report). There is a strong and loyal following of the brand and Chopper style motorcycle, throughout the world.
The motorcycle has evolved a lot over the years. The first production model, in 1905 had a single cylinder 440cc engine. In 1911, a new engine was introduced, with a V-Twin design, with 810ccs. The popularity of the HD motorcycle soared and by 1920 it was the biggest manufacturer in the world.
The company went through some rough patches after the second world war, and changed hands in 1952 and again in 1981.
The release of the "Fat Boy" model in 1990, reinvigorated sales. The company went back to quality parts and away from mass production to differentiate the brand from overseas and other local mass produced bikes. Demand soared again and due to the quality assembly process, it was not uncommon for the waiting list for the most popular models to exceed 12 months.
A museum, dedicated to the HD motorcycle will be opened in Menomonee River Valley in 2008 to honor and celebrate the history of the bike and the brand.
Harley Davidson Tattoo Designs
Associated with the huge success of the HD brand is the logo and other paraphernalia. One of the hottest items in this category is the Harley tattoo. Harley Davidson tattoo designs have evolved over the years, and allows the wearers to pay tribute and provides a connection with a special bike. The tats have many meanings to many people, but the overwhelming meaning is that of belonging. Belonging to the Harley community.
The most popular HD designs are badges incorporating wings and flames, eagles with the Harley logo, pictures of a motorcycle and either slogans, flames or both, patriotic tattoos with the Harley logo, Roses with the logo, hearts and knives with a banner for your slogan to be inserted. These are just a few of the most popular designs.
Where to Get the Best Harley Tattoo
The hardest part is deciding what design you want and where to get the best quality Harley Davidson tattoos. Check out as many designs as you can on the internet to give you some idea of what you want. But remember the majority are low quality, and thousands of people have access to the same designs everyday, so you will end up with the same design as someone else! I searched a heap of free and paid sites when I got my tattoo. I can show you which are the best tattoo galleries out there specifically for the Harley tattoo.
Check out the Harley Davidson tattoos gallery review for a detailed review of what the top three tattoo galleries provide. I look at a number of Harley tattoos in each gallery, quality and styles of design. Also I have a complete review of Chopper Tattoo gallery and a review of Tattoo Me Now gallery.

Motorcycle Racing Is Part Of Harley Davidson History

Motorcycle racing has been a huge part of Harley Davidson, almost from the beginning of the company. In fact the very first appearance of a motorcycle created by William Harley and the Davidson brothers, Arthur, Walter, and William, was in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin motorcycle race.
The Harley Davidson Company started in 1903, but didn't create an "official" motorcycle racing department until 1914. That didn't stop co-founder Walter Davidson from being victorious in the Federation of American Motorcyclist endurance race, in 1908, while riding a stock single cylinder machine. There were 65 competitors, during this grueling 2-day event, weaving their way through 365 miles of brutal dirt roads in the Catskill Mountains. The only perfect score in the competition went to Mr. Davidson.
By the year 1912, Harley Davidson had made speed a part of their motorcycle racing equation by setting a new record at the Bakersfield Road Race. H-D racers made a name for themselves on both wooden plank tracks and muddy dirt road courses, despite the interruption of World War I. In 1921, H-D shattered speed records, becoming the first motorcycles to reach speeds of 100 miles per hour during a race. Harley Davidson racers were known as "the Wrecking Crew", because of this success.
Harley Davidson's notoriety continued, when one of their motorcycles with a sidecar won the first annual Pike's Peak race, in 1916, and another Harley Davidson claimed first place in 1922 at the Adelaide to Melbourne South Australia race. Motorcycle Racing Dominated By Joe Petrali And Harley Davidson! Joe Petrali was arguably the best motorcycle racer of the early Twentieth Century. For six years between 1931 and 1936, Petrali dominated in the National points rankings five times. In 1935, Petrali went undefeated in all 13 races on the 13-stop National motorcycle racing schedule. Petrali's amazing performance didn't stop there! In 1937, while riding a 1937 Model E, 61 cubic inch, V-Twin Streamliner, he reached speeds of 136.183 miles per hour, at Daytona Beach and set a new world speed record. That's not all! Petrali won the National Hill Climb Championship, not once, not twice, but 8 years in a row beginning in 1929. What a maniac!
Motorcycle racing stopped for the Harley Davidson team and others when World War II began. When the war was over, Petrali did not return to the circuit, but H-D continued to rule the motorcycle racing scene.
When it comes to the drag strip, Harley Davidson looks towards their motorcycle racing crown jewel, the VRSXE Screamin' Eagle V-Rod Destroyer. This bike will get you down the quarter mile in under 10 seconds, but unfortunately it's not street legal and sees limited production. Motorcycle Racing And The Buell Motor Company The Buell Motor Company was a subsidiary of Harley Davidson and also produced bikes for motorcycle racing. Buell motorcycles were available at select Harley dealers. Buell racing teams were a force to be reckoned with and claimed top spots in many racing events. This success was because of the founder of the company, Eric Buell. Buell was not only a motorcycle racer himself, but worked as an engineer for Harley Davidson before forming his own company.
Unfortunately, on October 30, 2009, the Buell Motorcycle Company closed its doors after an incredible 26-year run. Harley Davidson said it would discontinue the Buell product line to focus on the Harley Davidson brand. The last Buell motorcycle rolled off the production line on October 30, bringing the number manufactured to 136,923.
Shortly after in November of 2009, Buell and Harley Davidson announced they would launch Erik Buell Racing, an independent company run by Erik Buell and it will produce race-only versions of the 1125R model.
Today, the tradition of great Harley Davidson motorcycle racing continues both on the drag strip and on the flat track. The AMA or American Motorcycle Association manages the majority of the national Superbike Championship, AMA Motocross Championship, and AMA Flatrack Championship, championship races, in the United States. These include the AMA Supercross Series, AMA Superbike Championship, AMA Motorcross Championship, and AMA Flatrack Championship.
It's no secret that Paul loves motorcycles! He has been riding motorcycles almost as long as he has been able to walk and has been wrenching on motorcycles his entire life. Paul grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere and has done his fair share of motorcycle racing on the back roads of Ontario, Canada.

The American Motorcycle Legend That Is Harley Davidson

There are many reasons to own a Harley Davidson motor cycle, these may include: having a mid life crisis, they are cool, they are a quality and dependable motor cycle, they are fun to ride, they retain their value more than other motor cycles, spare parts are getting even easier to locate (thanks to the internet), you may increase your popularity with your peers and may have your social life enhanced as you may get to meet other Harley enthusiasts at a Harley club as is found throughout the USA and abroad.
So let's look at the American Motorcycle legend that is the Harley. Where did Harley Davidson come from? Harley Davidson started in 1903 in Milwaukee, USA by Bill Harley and Arthur Walter together built a one cylinder motor cycle that ran on gasoline and was originally built as a racing cycle. This new motor cycle has been described as being reliable and its appearance was new yet popular. It was built in a wooden barn that Arthur's Dad had built. The motorcycles popularity became apparent in their sales figures as they went from a modest one sale in 1903 to a pleasing 11 in 1905, to an impressive 154 in 1908, which saw the launch of their company.
The company grew quickly so they moved into a custom built stone factory to house their 20 employees. The Harley Davidson logo as we know it as today as the bar and shield started in 1910. In 1912 with increasing sales of their motorcycles via an estimated 200 dealerships throughout the USA, saw the commencement of construction of a new six storey factory and the beginnings of their export industry with an initial sale to Japan.
The First World War was good for the Harley Davidson business as they produced about 15,000 motor cycles for the war effort which saw Harley Davidson dealerships reach 2,000 in 1917 and the motorcycle factory was reported to be the largest in the world.
In 1917, one-third of all Harley Davidson's were sent overseas to the U.S. Military to fulfill their patriotic call and to aid in the war effort. The following year, roughly half of the motorcycles produced were sold to the U.S. military. In the end, about 20,000 motorcycles were used in the war, most of them Harley's.
By 1918 Harley Davidson was the biggest motorcycle factory in the world with nearly 2,000 dealerships worldwide. This infrastructure and the motorcycles popularity had the company in a good position to survive the launch of the T model Ford whose new production line saw car prices fall and even the Great Depression.
1928 saw some impressive modifications to the Harley's specifications namely its top speed now exceeded 85 mph thanks to the addition of a twin cam engine and front wheel brakes. The 1930's saw the launch of the biggest Harley Davidson with a massive 1340 CC engine and the Knucklehead which finally outsold its biggest rival cycle the Indian.
War was once again good for the Harley Davidson business with the company suspending the production of its civilian models in preference for those destined to serve in the Second World War. 1947 saw the launch of Harley Davidson's most popular model the Panhead. Two years latter hydraulic front brakes were added to the Hydra Glide Harley models. The forty's were a difficult period for Harley as Triumph's market share was 40%.
1957 Harley launched its Sportster model and it was very popular as it was at that stage the fastest model they had released. 1969 saw a merger with the company called American Machine & Foundry (AMF). This was a difficult time for the company as the merger saw the quality of their motorcycles suffer resulting in the Super Glide and 1970 SLCR Café Racer's reputation suffered. Harley responded to its negative reputation by buying out its partners in 1981 and in 1984 launched its new Evolution motor and in 1971 launched the Cruiser model.
1980 saw the launch of the FLT model and in 1983 the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) was born. This club the biggest factory sponsored motorcycle club in the world and by the year 2000 club membership was over the 50,000 mark. Then in 1984 the now legendary Soft Tail model was launched. In 1987 Harley Davidson was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
The 1990's saw Haley Davidson launch its new Fat Boy design and the construction of a new state of the art paint facility. 2001 fuel injection became available on the Soft Tail model. During the early 2000's Harley's market share increased to 62% so as this figure would indicate it was then and continues to be a very popular brand of American Motorcycle. So if you don't already own a Harley at least you now know some of the story behind the legend.

Top Harley Davidson Accessories for 2010

Bikes will come and bikes will go, but Harley Davidson will remain the bike to have. A Harley Davidson motorcycle is a prized possession for its owners, almost like a badge of honour. Quite obviously then, these people tend to be very careful about the upkeep and maintenance of their Harleys. At the same time, they don't mind spending some extra money to pamper their bikes with exciting Harley Davidson accessories. The makers of Harley Davidson produce some very suave accessories for these proud owners, and, the best part is that these accessories come with some very cool functions as well.
The following is a list of the top Harley Davidson accessories for 2010.
1. Harley LED Light- The Davidson LED light lamp has distinct advantages over a traditional incandescent light- it is whiter, brighter and it offers superior visibility in the dark. The headlight is composed of two horizontal D-shaped lenses which produce a "daylight colour impression". The light produced as a result of this impression is more focussed and natural than traditional bike lights. The installation process is fairly easy as no external ballast or wiring is required. To top it off, the impeccable design of the LED lights adds an oomph factor to an already ravishing Harley bike.
2. Tri-Bar LED Tail Lamp- This Harley D motorbike accessory combines suave design with efficient functionality. The Tri-Bar LED tail lamp is designed to fit with both the bobtail and the rear fender. The intensity of the colour of the smoked lens changes in accordance with the speed of the bike. For example, when the brakes are applied, there is an instant change in the intensity of the red colour. Again, the installation process is a breeze and like all accessories produced by the makers of Harley Davidson, this one's a looker as well.
3. Black Dial- This fancy accessory is a combination of a speedometer and a tachometer, with a dash of style, of course. It is designed primarily like a dial, along with an LCD screen, which has all the vital stats- right from odometer readings to engine RPM and vehicle speed. The best part is that you can access all this information in one single glance.
4. Road Tech ZÃ…«mo 665 GPS Navigator with XM- This is, by far, the coolest Harley accessory in a long time. As the name indicates, it is primarily a GPS navigator. But, you would be highly mistaken if you discount it as just another GPS navigator. It comes with some amazing functions- it provides continuous updates about the weather and the traffic situation, and it is also equipped with a satellite radio. Clearly then, the Road Tech Zumo Navigator is a delight for every Harley Davidson owner looking to pamper his/her bike.

Polara Golf Ball

Is the Polara golf ball "new" option for golf? Most golfers know about Polara and the Polara ball, if not, more than 70 percent of them are surely aware of these balls because these are a kind of "magical" ball. Anyone can play golf like a professional with these balls. I mean if you haven't been to a golf course ever in your life, go to your local golf course tomorrow, take with just one ball and give this game a try. You will love it when you see your ball moving straight like a rocket towards its destination.
So how does it actually work? Why is it different than other golf balls? Who made it? What are its pros and cons? You will find the answers to these and many other related questions shortly.
To start with, these magical golf balls have the ability to move straight. These balls automatically correct your hook and slice. You can hit it blindly and it will go straight. So the idea is to provide golfers with something they can rely on.
Now a day, there are different types of Polara golf balls that work on the same technology. These include Polara Ultimate Straight, Polara Ultimate Straight XS, Polara XD and Polara XDS.
How it works
I am not a technical savvy person and physics has never been my favorite subject, but in order to get an insight of these Polara golf balls I researched a lot. I have talked to numerous golfers. I have read countless articles about these balls. I have discussed with hundreds of people. And this is what I have come up with.
These guys have changed the dimple pattern of the regular golf ball. These balls have very shallow dimples on the equator and deep dimples on the poles, as mentioned on Polara golf's website. This pattern of dimples is known as asymmetrical, because the dimple pattern is not common throughout the ball. However official golf balls are made to have symmetrical dimple pattern. A symmetrical dimple pattern is the one where there are equal dimples throughout the ball without any shallow or deep patches.
Now, what happens is this asymmetrical dimple pattern allows the ball to adjust itself automatically during flight. Generally speaking, all are made against the rules of USGA but people still use them. More than 30 percent of the golfers prefer playing with these balls. And this is the reason that you will find thousands of reviews online, outlets, franchises, dealers, online stores, agents and what not.
The question is why golfers use this ball over others? The best thing about the Polara golf ball is that you can play perfect golf almost all the time. There will be no hooks and slices when you use it. Additionally, you will find it easier to beat your opponents as long as they are not using the same ball.
I must say that this ball is good for amateurs and for practice sessions. It is not for those who want to become a good golf player. Those who want to use this magical golf ball must use it when they feel that it will not affect their real game and skills.
I am an avid golfer and have been for over 25 years. I am always looking to enhance my golf game any way I can. I have done a lot of research and have found several items about Golf Buy It Online on the internet. You can also find lots of FREE golf advice, tips and other resources at World Tour Golf.

Golf Short Game Secrets

A noted golf instructor maintained that the key to golf consistency is knowing that the entire golf swing is really a large pitch shot.
For those golfers who are struggling to find a better swing, and more consistency, review this specially crafted program designed to integrate the golf fundamentals into your existing swing without the pain and anxiety of normal lessons. California Golf Schools has developed a unique approach to the "how" of teaching the golf fundamentals.
Unlike most golf instruction today, this program teaches from the "green out" and not from the "tee in" The result is an easier, more productive learning situation which develops confidence and effectiveness sooner than conventional methods.
From the first teaching hour, the golf instructors teach the fundamentals through the "short swing" This is a natural progression to the longer more difficult clubs.
This series of 2 compact four-hour instruction sessions allow golfers to select a very specific golf area where they need the greatest help. Each segment is organized to focus on the fundamentals of the complete golf swing- but these fundamentals are taught and reinforced from the green out.
Most traditional golf teaching is done from the tee in. This "short swing" method is the opposite. There are no gimmicks or quick fix issues here. The essential philosophy of the instruction is that the golf swing is simpler than it is made to appear. However a golfer must know certain fundamentals and practice them, or progress is slow or non-existent.
There is one golf swing with all the clubs, not different swings for the short clubs and one for the long clubs.
The fundamentally correct golf swing contains certain basic moves, which can be taught "from the ground up." From the smallest (simplest) swing to the largest (complex) those swing fundamentals are taught which are appropriate for all the golf clubs.
(The driver swing contains the same fundamentals as the nine-iron swing even though the nine-iron swing does not include all the fundamentals of the driver swing.)
This simple to complex swing progression aids the student in understanding his personal golf swing. The mini-schools are instructional alternatives to normal 2 or 3 day 15 hours school programs. The 8 hour sessions are designed to be complete in themselves, easily adaptable to varying student skill levels. Each segment illustrates the appropriate swing patterns while providing the drills and practice programs to be used in changing the students swing faults.
In practice the first day, the student will hit few full shots but, but rather will work on achieving club face contact, proper grip tension and physical positioning.
The takeaway, the most critical part of the golf swing is particularly emphasized by use of the "toe up to toe up" drills. These skills/fundamentals are taught in a "mini-swing" (short-swing, ½ swing, ¾ swing) context.
The reason? A golfer can easily feel the swing parts, since the club head is moving slower-back and forward with less brute strength and force. A player at all levels, can feel the timing of the legs and the upper body. He or she can even see the parts of their swing in real time. Advance skills such as visualization can be taught to the moderately skilled golfer.
When a student has reached a success level from a 30-40 yard pitch shot distance with most fundamentals in order, then he is ready to move to the 50-80 yard shot, and as the day progresses, the clubs change from PW to 7 iron to 5 iron etc. No drivers!
The teaching process develops from the short swing to the full swing and leaves few fundamentals behind.
The most important part of this process, is that at some level even the moderate player has success, and he knows what he must work on. The more advanced player moves rapidly, but not until the fundamentals are clear to him. One reason golfers do not improve is that the relationship between distance and consistency. Too often brute force dominates the golf game, while a consistent golf swing leads to better scoring for the vast amount of golfers.
To change and improve, leave the driver in the bag, and practice with no club longer than a 7 iron and watch your scores go down, and your enjoyment go up!
Bruce Baird is regarded as one of America's finest golf teaching professionals, and his golf instruction schools are one of the nations's oldest and popular golf schools. With locations in Monterey, San Diego, Palm Springs, California, Florida, Las Vegas and South Carolina Nationwide Golf Schools present a systematic curriculum to quickly improve the student's golf skills.

What Are Storage Communities?

Storage Communities
A storage community helps users connect with experts in systems and servers, storage technology experts, and people with experience and in-depth knowledge of technology in various aspects of storage technology.
Why They Are Needed
The field of data storage is wide and involves a lot of different technologies and solutions provided by different companies.
The IT strategy of a business might involve varied technologies from different vendors. Integrating solutions from different sources is a difficult process. Most vendors provide expert help to the customers when they buy their products. But, ongoing maintenance and upgrades might require the IT staff of the business to look for expert help from various sources.
This is where online technology communities can help. Most technology companies run their own community portal with several different communities focusing on their different products and solutions.
Generic And Specific Storage Communities
Storage communities focus on topics related to data storage. This is not limited to just storage media, but other components of a storage system like servers, virtualization, and networking.
When the user is looking for help on a general topic, like what kind of storage strategies they should invest in, they can log on to generic storage communities on the web. When help regarding specific products and solutions are needed, it is better to go straight to the company website and look for its community portal.
Identifying the Niche On Which Help Is Needed
Most vendors like IBM, Dell, HP, Oracle, Sun, and Microsoft have software communities that connect users, experts, clients, and business partners.
Identifying the particular niche on which help is needed can help the user find a relevant expert who is highly knowledgeable. Through the community, the user can then ask for help on the particular problem they are facing.
The community may also provide information about other ways to contact the expert, like their LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter pages, their blogs and so on. In this way, storage communities can help IT departments tap into expert knowledge.
Some Of The Storage-Related Topics
The storage communities will have experts on the many subsets of products and solutions on the relevant topic of interest. For instance, if the user is looking for help related to systems and servers, he might be looking for help on specific products from the vendor, or help on a more abstract level, like how to get maximum system performance from the vendor's products.
A user may look for help on specific aspects of storage, such as data storage management and disaster recovery strategies. Help may be required on specific storage products or on particular storage strategies like Storage Area Networks.
A storage community can serve customers and clients of specific vendors by connecting them with field experts. But, this can work both ways too. The feedback from clients and users can help drive the future products and product strategies of the vendor.
Thus, a storage community provides a way for technology users and experts to interact and share their thoughts and opinions.

Attributes of the Enterprise Security Architecture

The purpose of the enterprise architecture security is to proffer an intangible design of the infrastructure network security and other safety measures and related procedures and policies. It links the components of the security infrastructure as a cohesive unit that would protect the information of the business enterprise. This article would discuss what enterprise security infrastructure is. The infrastructure referred is the supporting components required for the functionality of the enterprise network.
Meticulous Architecture
It has been observed that organizations prefer to write their own safety management standards. This means that there is no consistent platform that is followed and adapted across varied enterprise. Since the needs of the organization fluctuate, the security management programs needs to be tailored accordingly. Every company with their bespoke information security programs should be meticulous in regards to data. The architecture would provide easy structured and organized security practices thereby saving time, resource and money. This platform is also useful in litigation or audit and reduces the security arrangements that need to be performed with each IT project.
Architectural components
Addressing all the elements is imperative for the overall security and protection of the company's assets. What the architectural system ascertains is integrity, confidentiality and availability of the data aligning to the objectives of the business. Any breach in the protection can result in vulnerability.
Architectural Priorities
The enterprise safety program should be developed prioritizing the following sequence: people, policy and technology. The enlisted sequence is developed considering the job functionality and the business needs. Whatever policies are adapted by the business, the prioritizing sequence would enable enforcement of a secure foundation. The order may vary over time. In these cases, when the priority is not established, it is in the following order: technology, policy and then people. Technology is an overwhelming tool that can force the security personnel to expend more time in research and support and lose the business objective. The personnel are compromised in the heavy projects and stray away from the business goal. The employees associated sacrifices the business principles. This makes it apparent to conduct security checks with diligence and clear instated regulations to avoid such situations.
Social and Technical Architectural Challenges
An effective enterprise architecture security needs to be based on the defense strategies. Each different layer of the design works in tandem to provide a unified sanctuary mechanism. The layered stratagems would be beneficial, as the impact of one compromised layer does not affect the others.
Other than the technical confrontation, securing information is also an administration and communal problem. Depending on the design of the safety measures in the enterprise, the concept is supported by the corporate security standards. Although data safety is a technical issue, it also has procedural, physical, administrative and personal components. The poor human working is the weak link in the entire structure. This is the reason that even though technical problems can be stalled, it is the human-end that has the tendency to make more mistakes. Developing a secured architecture needs consultation before being deployed.
Aditi Biswas believes that for effective enterprise architecture security, it is important for the employees, technology and the business principles to work unambiguously with each other. Only when these factors work conjointly, can success be accomplished.

Convert WMV To DVD Format: Instructions On How To Use A Free Program

It's annoying to have to work with a video that is in WMV format. But there are a number of them out there. If you are to use them for professional, academic or entertainment purposes, it'd be smarter and more convenient for you to convert WMV to DVD format. The Windows Media Video format is only ideal to use for internet streaming purposes. If you want the clips to be more flexible, you'd have to make it adapt other physical-delivery formats, such as DVD, HD and Blu-ray. To make this easier, you can find yourself a WMV to DVD converter online.
There are a number of them out there, ready to be downloaded. Despite their diverse names, the functions of the different converters are basically the same. This is why it would not be confusing for you to work out on how to change the format, whatever program you choose to install. To give you a foresight on the process, here is a step-by-step account on how you can change a WMV file to a DVD one.
The first step is to obviously install the converter. Once you have installed the program, you can now load and edit an existing video in it. Launch the program from your desktop, and then import the video that you want to edit, into the collections. You could also drag and drop the file to the primary program window. You can reset the order, add titles, crop, trim, rotate, and add effects to enhance the clip. But if you do not wish to edit the content, you don't have to proceed.
Next, you should create the DVD's menu. This is important, since it is where you will manipulate the viewing of the video once it has been converted. You can find built-in templates in the WMV to DVD converter that you are using, with choices of buttons and frames. Once you've taken your pick, you can customize the background image, add text, as well as music.
Once you're done, go ahead and preview the conversion to check if the product you have is in line with your expectations. If all is in place, put in a DVD in the computer or laptop's hard drive, and click the "Burn" button. You should get a pop up that asks for the DVD settings - DVD drive, output target, disc label, aspect ratio, and TV standard. When you've specified the required details, continue on and click the burn command, and then have the program automatically convert your video. If all goes well, the DVD will be ejected from the drive, so you can test it on a normal player.
If the burned file cannot be read, it could be that the storage unit you used has been corrupted. You should try to burn the file on another DVD and see if that works. You might also want to check the functionality of the player, and ensure that it is not the cause of the problem. If both checks out, then you should aim your diagnostic focus on the software, and see if there are any glitches. You could choose to reinstall or try out another WMV to DVD converter.

The mass produced application will not be able to meet the needs of your company or business. These needs are most of the times very much unique and typical for your company only. There are many companies who use the software as they need to meet the special norms for their various company departments such as management needs, sales department needs, designing department and all these different departments may require different approachable software that will fulfill the needs that particular department has in itself.

Custom application development is a kind of technical solutions that are being supplied by some of the in-house software development teams and the software is being developed under the certification of and software developer.
The custom software development is so purposefully done as it will accommodate the various typical needs of a single user or typically the requirements of a business management. Thus this software is much more expensive as they would differ completely from the mass product application that is available in the market and is developed keeping in mind the typical requirements of the client. The approach from the application will certainly able to meet the client's specific requirements and expectations.
The development of application is based on the fact of developing a typical requirement fulfilling software that is developed with the help of certain available software packages of mass market such as commercial-off-the-shelf software and the software will cost much more than the average COTS software as they may be developed from the commercial software packages but they have the different approach. Custom development of software is done in a step by step manner, allowing all the nuances and the hidden dangers to be taken into account, keeping in mind all the personal preferences as well as the issues that was not specified by the customer.

These websites are further linked with various giant social websites like Facebook, Twitter and many more to increase the mass of customers and popularity of the company. Further, this phenomenon is advanced with latest up-gradation of various types of web applications, like online media streaming, broadcasting, social networking, widget creation and custom web applications, to name a few. 2. Competition amongst various service providers benefits client's websites. This happens because of the competitive nature of web designing industry for staying up-to-date with the latest up-gradations.
3. External agencies have bigger teams than in-house web designing teams that leads to the creation of state-of-the-art website embedded with latest technology.
4. Further, these external agencies are quite experienced as compared to the in-house designers, which helps in understanding the demand of the changing world for the related project.
5. In-house designers may provide a delayed service because of the internal politics of your company, whereas external agencies are free from any politics and has no relation with the internal policies of the associated client's company.

Outage Management and Beyond: Understanding The Importance Of Geographic Information System Software

Outage management. Does that phrase mean anything to you? Probably not, and you're not alone. For the most part, many of us don't consider the significance of outage management - until we suddenly find ourselves without power. Without electricity and the many modern conveniences that it brings, we suddenly find ourselves chock full of opinions on outage management and how our providers should navigate through a power breakdown in order to restore our electricity as quickly as possible. What is one of the leading factors in the plight of minimizing lost power to ensure seamless utility service? Geographic information system software, or GIS.
Geographic Information System Software: Its Impact On Your Daily Life
Once a complicated application that required extensive training and specializing to effectively execute, geographic information system software has evolved into a highly functional resource that helps users collect data about the environment around us like never before. At its core, geographic information system software allows for the capturing, managing, examining, and revealing various environmentally influenced factors. Used in various sectors such as business, government, scientific development and conservation endeavors, geographic information system software offers an extensive reach of benefits to residential and corporate entities that simply can't be ignored.
By enabling us to see, comprehend, analyze and interpret various trends, geographic information system software allows for fast and easily integrated solutions to a host of problematic situations. Manipulating the data discovered from a GIS application, can quickly give insight on items such as:
• Coordinating details of land use
• Demographic information of utility consumers
• Tracking of land permit filing
• Property mapping for residential and commercial use
• Subdivision requirements
• Public domain maintenance
And so much more. When managed properly, it can even help governing officials analyze data on public service requirements. With just a glance, GIS can show the biggest clusters for incidents such as accidents, crimes and even fires.
The Role Of GIS And IVR Systems In Outage Management
While the functionality of GIS is diverse, its most powerful use in our everyday lives falls within the outage management category. When implemented as part of a utility service program, GIS allows for extensive data harvesting about every grid participant. Relying on the answers provided by the gathered data can quickly reveal answers to questions such as: Which sectors experience the most blackouts? And: Which regions are less prone to service breakdowns?
When paired with innovative IVR systems, geographic information system software takes outage management customer service to an entirely new level. IVR systems allow administrators to no longer have to wait for data to be asked for. Instead IVR systems, when coupled with GIS, deliver virtually instant signals to demonstrate power shortages in an almost real time scenario. In essence, IVR systems equip utility providers with the ultimate experience in outage management. By delivering all the necessary details as they are happening, utility service corporations can maintain a steady focus on outages, glitches and patterns to ensure that their consuming grids maintain the highest level of service at all times.
Milsoft Utility Solutions delivers innovative software solutions for clients seeking state of the art outage management strategies. If you're seeking cutting edge geographic information system software and IVR systems, Milsoft can help. Want to hear more? Finding the Right Mechanic for Your Transmission Repair

Finding a good mechanic can be a difficult task. Most people don't know all that much about the inner workings of their vehicle, so they depend rather heavily on the expertise of the mechanic. Therefore, if your car needs major work, such as a transmission repair, it is vital that you find the right mechanic for the job. There are a few qualities to look for that will help you to make sure that you have the right person working on your vehicle.
Honesty
One of the most important qualities to find in an auto mechanic is honesty. Since the average person does not possess a great deal of knowledge regarding automotives, it is easy for a mechanic to try to sell the customer unnecessary work. The last thing you want to do when you bring your car in for a transmission repair is to end up paying for a new alternator as well when your old part was working just fine. Before you agree to have any work done, talk to lots of people and try to get input as to whether or not the proposed work makes sense given the problems that you are having.
Cost
A big job like a transmission repair can be costly. Therefore, you will want to be sure to call around to various garages and ask what they charge for the same work on your make and model of vehicle. To be sure, price isn't everything, but you want to make sure you are getting charged a fair amount for the work that is being done. Call lots of mechanics, and talk to lots of your friends and family to get an idea as to whether or not the price you have been quoted is fair.
Quality
Finally, and most importantly, you want to get an idea of the quality of work that your mechanic has a reputation for doing. The best way to do this is to ask around. Ask your friends and co-workers if they have ever had work done by this person or company, and find out if they were happy with the work. Also, there are several online outlets where customers can publish reviews of various businesses. See if anyone has offered a review of your mechanic before you have the work done.
If you need to have a big job like a transmission repair done on your vehicle, then finding a good mechanic to do the work should be your first priority. The best way to do this is by finding an honest mechanic and by paying attention to the cost and quality of work that a mechanic does.

Are The Motorways Safe Enough To Raise The Speed Limit?

The national speed limit on England's motorway network has been 70 mph for a long time now; the same as it is on any dual carriageways. Last year the Government stated that it intended to ensure the speed limit on motorways accurately reflected the "reality of modern vehicles and driving conditions" rather than those of 50 years ago. Our cars' engines and tyres can easily achieve much higher speeds than 70 mph while still remaining safe, but is our motorway network up to the challenge?
According to the Road Safety Foundation report, our motorways are not currently providing sufficient protection to drivers and passengers to safely consider raising the motorway speed limit. It has shown that there are actually wide spread faults with the protections systems currently in place which are already risking people's lives.
When driving at motorway speeds more protection is needed than the car itself can provide; it must work in symbiosis with the protection systems on the motorways in order that enough energy is absorbed by metal rather than a human body.
Motorways feature a variety of safety systems to protect us including safety fencing which absorbs the energies associated with a high speed car crash. Many of the protective features of our motorways are part of the road design themselves and run-off protection, while a few sections of motorways feature electronic safety controls such as hazard warnings and variable speed limits which better manage the intense flows of traffic that travel on them every day.
The problem is that so many vehicles travel on our motorway network that any tiny risk is magnified. For example, a one in ten million chance can happen as frequently as every three months. This means that even unusual circumstances have to be treated as serious issues, and those unusual circumstances can be things as simple as roadworks or extreme weather, or less common things such as pedestrians on the motorway, drivers and passengers next to broken down vehicles awaiting recovery or mobile tyre fitting, lorry loads being spilt, and rear end shunts when the traffic slows down suddenly. These are the situations our road planners need to plan for, and the Road Safety Foundation don't feel that our motorways currently reach an appropriate standard to raise the speed limit.
One argument from those who support raising the speed limit is that there is little respect for the current 70 mph limit, but according to the Road Safety Foundation drivers who want to be able to travel at 80 mph already do, so the economic benefits that the government believe will occur if people can get to their destinations quicker will only happen if those drivers then speed up to 90 mph after the speed limit is raised. Instead of increasing the speed limit the Road Safety Foundation recommend systematically repairing all the motorways. This would result in large economic benefits and 80mph speed limits could then be trialled on limited sections of the motorways that already feature variable speed limits.

Driving Mistakes You Never See

Fortunately, we are all great drivers and never cause any driving problems or accidents - it's always someone else. If that were really the case, then there wouldn't be any dents or minor scraps to your vehicle. Here's a short list of the mistakes none of us ever make.
Inattention
It's easy for your mind to drift for a few seconds when you are delivering your fourth back loads of the week. You might just be assessing whether you can take on some extra work next month, or you may be thinking about the wife's birthday present. Mobile phones are usually blamed for most distractions, but just changing radio channels or the CD can be sufficient for the road circumstances to change in that split second. While we all agree (don't we?) that texting while driving is unsafe, hands free talking is still a distraction if the conversation isn't going the way you want it to.
Wrong focus
If you focus on the long distance when concentrating on picking up back loads - your turn off or exit number - you might miss the problems right in front of you. This may lead to late changes and swerving to steer clear of immediate danger. GPS can be a great advantage in helping you keep your eyes on the right part of the road while listening to directions.
Low tyre pressure
While much of your attention may be on getting your back loads delivered, did you check your tyre pressures today? Many vehicles have an indicator that tells you when your tyre pressure has fallen too low - but this probably means it has already passed the point when you should have checked your pressures and corrected them! Stay attentive.
How you park, matters.
When you park your vehicle, you may be affecting other drivers. Consider where they are and how your movements will impact their driving manoeuvres. If your driving skills include hitting or mounting the curb, you may be causing your tyres long term damage.
Wet roads worry drivers.
While you [and most other drivers] are aware that extra stopping distance is required when the roads are wet, you still have to allow for the foolish drivers who try to slip into the extra space you have provided. It is still better to back off a little to the correct distance for the weather and get to the end of your journey a minute late.
Don't hit the brakes or the accelerator so hard.
Driving smoothly will help you get more miles per gallon, wear your tyres less, cause you a lesser amount of stress and give you a more pleasant journey. Some drivers prefer to think about getting as many back loads as they can, and attack the accelerator as though it needs to be floored for 100% of each journey. The roads do not provide a race track for the movement of goods and services; they provide a sensible means for those goods and services to reach their destination with as little wear and tear on the drivers and their vehicles, as possible.
Think about turning.
If your drive and think about changing lanes or leaving by an exit early enough, your actions will be smooth and seen by other drivers so they can act accordingly. If you are one of those drivers who reacts quite late and needs to switch lanes almost without warning, others drivers must take action to avoid you and a collision.
Luckily, none of these are actions you would take - right?

Attention Chocoholics - Recipes You Really Must Try!

Who doesn't love chocolate? Yes there are a few of you out there, I even know a couple myself. But even those who aren't chocolate crazies like some of us, still like it once in awhile. Whichever category you fit into, here are some recipes you really need to try! There are soooo yummy! The crunch bars only have a chocolate coating for those of you who don't want too much chocolate!
CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CRUNCH BARS
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 quick cooking oats
1/2 cup Grape-Nuts cereal
1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
1/4 cup miniature chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Line an 8-inch square baking pan with foil leaving enough on ends to use later to life bars out of the pan. Spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl combine the sugar and butter; blend well. Add the flour, oats, and cereal mixing together well. Press mixture in the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Drizzle the caramel topping over mixture to within 1/2-inch of the edges.
Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes or until the edges are a light golden brown. Immediately remove from oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot bars. Let stand for a minute or two for the chocolate to melt. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the bars. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
Remove the bars from the pan by lifting out the foil. Cool down in the freezer for 15 minutes before cutting into 16 bars.
FUDGY CHOCOLATE LAYER CAKE
1 cup butter
1 cup + 3 tbsp granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup + 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
4 large eggs
3/4 cup very hot water
1/2 pint heavy cream
10.5-oz semisweet chocolate
6-oz white chocolate finely grated for garnish, if desired
Grate the white chocolate so it can chill while you prepare the cake.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly oil the bottoms of two 8-inch round cake pans and line with parchment paper; set aside.
In large mixer bowl combine the butter, sugar, flours, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and eggs. With mixer on medium speed, beat until smooth. Continue beat for a couple more minutes until the volume has increased. Add the hot water and beat to incorporate, about a minute. Divide the batter evenly between the two pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the centers comes out clean. All cakes to cool in pan for about 10 minutes then gently remove from pans, peel of parchment paper and allow to cool completely on wire racks.
While cake cools heat the heavy cream just to a boil - do not boil! Break the chocolate into pieces, adding to the cream and stirring until melted. Let cool then chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Remove from refrigerator and whisk until thickened to a spreading consistency.
To assemble the cake, place one layer on the cake plate and top with 1/3 of the frosting. Spread the frosting and top with the second layer. Spread the remaining of the frosting over the sides and top of the cake. Sprinkle the white chocolate over the top, if desired.
